The Lock Floods

With Torrential rain for a couple of days the river Avon rose to levels we haven't seen for a long time,

but this did not deter the 'lock Locals' who still managed to have a good time,

some of which were stuck in the pub all night.....shame?

but with more rain to come river levels will rise causing more problems for all who live along Ferry Road.

Richard and Ann's Boost Charity Funds

The beerfest Raft Race raised £1485 for charity with most of the funds coming

from 'Guess the number of Cans Competition' held by Richard and Ann's most excellent Raft,

which went down a storm by the way.

5th August

Richard and Ann's Ingenious Invention

With the Old Lock and Weir Inn Beer festival near, entries for the annual beer fest raft

race are welcome, we have managed to get a sneak preview of one of this years ingenious

inventions made entirely from beer cans, silicon and tyre valves this vessel has to be favourite

to win (if it floats ....ha-ha), Richard said it didn't cost a lot to build apart from lots of

time and patients and of course beer cans lots of them, Its planned for a 'Guess the number of cans'

competition on the day with prizes for the closest number, this has to be one of the most

craziest raft designs ever! well done and thanks to Richard for building it and Ann for putting

up with nothing but beer cans for last six months and of course CR WINDOWS AVON LTD

for supplying building materials for this excellent charity event.

Can you top that?  Can you be a contender?
